UN & UNESCO Credentials

Served as liaison officers at formal UN and UNESCO events. Verifiable credentials from international organisations, not generic "international experience" claims.

Same-Day Emergency

For urgent medical, legal, or business needs in Barcelona, we can provide interpreters within hours. Scheduled bookings with 5-10 business days notice.

MAEC Sworn Interpreting

Sworn interpretation credentials from Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Court-admissible for legal proceedings, depositions, and official documents.

Why a professional interpreter, not a bilingual bystander

Interpreting happens in real time, with no chance to pause and edit, so the person in the room has to carry meaning, tone and intent at the speed of conversation. A trained interpreter does that under a code of accuracy and impartiality, where an untrained bilingual, however well meaning, tends to summarise, omit or take sides exactly where it matters most.

Every interpreter we assign works under a confidentiality agreement and professional accountability, so what is said in a consultation, a hearing or a negotiation stays there and is conveyed in full.

Modes of Interpreting

Simultaneous: the interpreter speaks while the speaker continues, using booth headsets. Used in conferences, large meetings, and multinational events. Requires the highest skill level.

Consecutive: the speaker pauses after segments and the interpreter delivers the message. Used in smaller meetings, negotiations, legal proceedings, and one-on-one consultations.

Liaison/Escort: walking interpretation for site visits, informal meetings, and small group discussions. No formal booth or timing constraints.

Remote (OPI/VRI): over-the-phone or video remote interpreting for emergency medical needs, quick business calls, and last-minute consultations. Available same-day, often within hours.

Sectors We Serve

Medical and healthcare: English-speaking patients in Barcelona hospitals and clinics. Patient safety depends on accurate medical interpretation. Same-day emergency interpreting available.

Legal and court proceedings: depositions, trials, and proceedings where accuracy is legally binding. Sworn interpreters where required.

International business: negotiations, boardroom meetings, and multinational operations. Professional interpreting that ensures deals close without miscommunication.

Conference and diplomatic: UN and UNESCO event experience. Liaison officers at formal international events managing multilingual communication at the highest levels.

The right interpreter for the setting

The skill that makes a conference run is not the calm a hospital bedside needs or the precision a courtroom demands. Rather than send a generalist everywhere, we match each assignment to an interpreter whose experience fits the setting, the subject and the mode of interpreting it calls for.

That judgement is part of the service: which mode to use, how many interpreters a full day requires, and when a sworn credential is needed. Tell us the situation and we recommend the setup before you book.
