Sworn interpreter or professional interpreter?
In Spain, official acts before a judge, notary or civil registry require a sworn interpreter appointed by the MAEC; private meetings do not. For US proceedings there is no MAEC equivalent, but depositions and EUOs demand verbatim protocol and an interpreter comfortable taking the oath on the record.
